What does 'dry hire' actually mean?

Dry hire means you get the kit — wireless headphones, transmitters, flight case, cables, PAT-tested and ready to go. You plug in your own audio source (a laptop with Spotify, a hired DJ controller, three phones with playlists, whatever you fancy). We don't supply DJs or music, just the broadcasting hardware. Cheaper than full-service, infinite flexibility.

Are these prices the full price or 'starting from'?

Full price, inc VAT. Standard UK delivery is included. PAT testing, £10m insurance, cleaning between events — all included. The only variables are the optional extras you choose (lighting, karaoke, express delivery, tablets) which are itemised separately at the quote stage.

How many days does the price cover?

One-day hire by default. Multi-day hires get a tapered discount applied in the quote builder — for example, 3 days isn't 3× the day rate. Pick your event length on the quote form and the calculator does the maths.

What if I need exactly 60 headphones, not 50 or 75?

Pick the next tier up (75 in this case) so you have spares — bookings always benefit from a couple of extra units. We don't charge for the empty slots, but we do supply the full case so you have headroom on the night.

How is delivery handled?

Standard delivery is free across mainland UK — the kit arrives between 9am-5pm on a day we agree, typically 24-48 hours before your event. Express delivery (£15) guarantees a before-noon arrival if you need the kit earlier in the day. Collection is the next working day after the event, also included.

What about events over 500 headphones?

We supply festival-scale events regularly. For 500+ headphones, send us your details via the quote form or call the office directly — we coordinate multi-case delivery and dedicated on-site support as standard for events of that size.

Is there a security deposit?

No deposit on the kit itself — our insurance covers normal use, transit, and weather. Deliberate damage or loss is recoverable against the booking, but in over a decade of hires we've only ever had to invoice that once.

When do I pay?

Either pay in full when you confirm the quote, or pay a holding fee to lock the date with the balance due 7 days before the event. Both options are available on the payment screen at the end of the quote builder.
