Most outdoor / unusual / heritage venues fall over when you try to fit a traditional sound system into them. The mains aren't there, the venue won't allow it, the noise notice kills it, the budget can't cover the rigging. Silent disco doesn't have any of those problems.

Listed venues, conservation buildings, heritage railway sites, gallery spaces, historic ships — almost all of them have noise-impact restrictions or outright bans on amplified sound. Silent disco produces zero amplified noise, so heritage and conservation conditions don't apply.

Site brief & logistics quote
Tell us the venue, the access, the power situation (or lack of), the crowd zone, and any restrictions (listed, conservation, residential proximity). For genuinely remote sites we'll send a coordinator for a site survey. Quote covers the kit plus the extra logistics window.
Delivery, on your timetable
Remote and off-grid venues get earlier delivery windows so the route is comfortable. Island venues coordinate with ferry timings. Beach sites get tide-aware delivery. We adapt to the venue rather than expecting the venue to adapt to standard delivery slots.
Site-adapted setup
Off-grid sites use a battery pack for the transmitter. Listed venues use careful cable management to avoid attaching to fixtures. Heritage venues get a no-marks setup brief. The 15-minute setup adapts to whatever the site can support — we don't bring a fixed installation pattern.
Event runs — no noise impact
Headphones broadcast cleanly across the site — 300m line-of-sight from the transmitter covers most realistic venues. Outdoor weddings work, woodland events work, boats work. Heavy rain we'd ask you to bring the unit under cover, otherwise the kit handles British weather fine.
Pack-down with the site in mind
Headphones back in cases, transmitter powered down, cables coiled. Collection coordinated around the venue's available pickup window — remote sites often need a same-day or next-morning collection rather than the standard next-working-day slot. All covered in the original logistics quote.

Can you deliver to genuinely remote locations — Highlands, islands, beach venues?
Yes — we've delivered to remote Highland estates, Hebrides and West-coast islands, Cornish beach venues, Devon woodland sites, and Scottish lochs. Ferry-served islands coordinate with sailing times, beach venues with tide windows. The logistics quote covers the extra-window delivery as a transparent line item — no surprise costs.
We have no mains power at the venue. What's the minimum infrastructure?
A small portable battery pack (think modern camping/festival battery) runs the transmitter for a full event — the draw is trivial. Headphones are wireless with 10-hour batteries already, so they don't need mains at all. You can run a full silent disco event in a place with literally no power supply.
Our venue is a listed building — any structural concerns?
None. The transmitter sits on a table or AV trolley — no fixings, no drilling, no contact with fabric of the building. The headphones are personal kit only. We work to no-marks venue conditions as standard. Heritage venue managers tend to prefer us over traditional PA setups precisely because there's no rigging or structural attachment.
Beach or coastal venues — what about sand, salt, and weather?
Headphones are IPX4-rated which handles drizzle, sea spray, and damp conditions comfortably. Sand on a beach is no different from dust at a festival — the kit handles it. Salt water immersion would damage units (dropped in the sea, etc.), but normal beach-event conditions are fine. We've supplied many cliff-top weddings, beach receptions, and coastal corporate events.
Forest / woodland venue — does the signal carry through trees?
300m line-of-sight, but signal still carries strongly through woodland up to roughly 100-150m depending on tree density. For larger forest events we deploy multiple synchronised transmitters that hand the signal between zones — punters don't notice anything, but coverage extends seamlessly. Boat / yacht events — does it work on the water?
Yes — we've supplied yacht parties on the Solent, narrowboat events on the canals, ferry-deck activations, and Thames party boats. The transmitter runs from the vessel's onboard power (or a battery pack), headphones broadcast to the deck or interior comfortably. Wind noise is actually a non-issue because guests are listening through headphones, not to a struggling outdoor PA.
Our venue is in a conservation area / next to residential housing. Any noise impact?
Zero amplified noise leaks from a silent disco. Conservation area conditions about noise impact don't apply because there's no noise to impact. Residential proximity complaints disappear. We've supplied events that ran 14 hours through residential conservation zones with no complaints filed. The local council literally has no signal to log.
What's the upper crowd limit for a remote site?
Signal-wise there's no limit — one transmitter broadcasts to unlimited receivers within its range. The practical limit is logistics: how many headphones we can deliver to the site, and how many spares the courier can reach. We've supplied unique-venue events with 300+ guests in single zones. For larger scales we coordinate multi-case delivery and on-site backup.
