From setup week to breakdown.
Festival logistics are different from one-off events — setup happens days before, breakdown often goes back-to-back into the next event. Here's the rhythm we work to.
Pre-event delivery (3-7 days out)
Multi-case delivery to the site office, typically the week of setup. We coordinate with your production team and the festival logistics window. Cases are weatherproofed for storage in dry tents or back-of-stage compounds until needed.
Stage rig & sound check
Transmitter mounts onto the stage, gets cable-tested against the music source, and broadcasts a test signal to a sample of headphones across the crowd zone. Multi-stage events get a coordinated channel-mapping pass so no two stages cross-contaminate.
Gates open — headphone distribution
Headphones distribute through wristband redemption or a dedicated handout point. Punters can pick up and return throughout the day — no formal ticket-style restriction. Spare units (10% over-supply) cover for the inevitable drops and misplaced sets through the weekend.
Headliner sets & after-hours
Sets run past the council curfew because there's nothing to abate. Headliner DJs play out the night, after-hours acts continue, the chill tent runs sundown into sunrise. The whole festival operates at full energy without the artificial wind-down.
Post-event breakdown & collection
Headphones returned through the breakdown window. Cases on-site for collection by our courier the next available day, or we coordinate back-to-back delivery if you're running a tour or sequential festivals. Full service inspection between events.

How does the 300m range actually work in a festival field?
300m is the line-of-sight broadcast radius from the transmitter. In an open field that means a transmitter at the back of a stage covers a crowd zone roughly 300m across. For larger crowd zones we deploy multiple synchronised transmitters that hand the signal between zones — the punter doesn't notice anything, but the coverage extends seamlessly. Multi-stage events get their own per-stage transmitter setup.
Is 10-hour battery life enough for a headliner set running past curfew?
Yes. 10 hours is per-charge runtime on a single headphone, and we ship 5-10% over-supply specifically so units rotate through a charging station mid-event for multi-day deployments. For single-day events the 10 hours covers gates-open through breakdown comfortably. We also supply a fast-charging station for back-of-stage rapid turnaround.
Can we run more than three simultaneous channels for multiple stages?
Yes — six is the standard maximum, achieved by deploying two transmitter units with three channels each on different frequency banks. Larger multi-stage festivals use our six-channel kit. Beyond six channels we build a custom transmitter configuration. The headphones we ship support full six-channel scrolling out of the box.
Off-grid sites — what generator capacity do the transmitters need?
Per-transmitter the draw is roughly equivalent to a domestic kettle — trivial against any festival genny setup. We can also run transmitters from a high-capacity portable battery pack for truly remote events. The crowd-facing kit (headphones) is wireless and battery-powered, so the off-grid bottleneck is just the transmitter end.
Branded headphones for tour sponsors or main-stage activations?
Yes — we supply branded headphones for festival sponsors and tour activations on a per-event basis. Wrap design lead time is typically 3-4 weeks for short runs. For major brand activations with longer lead times we can produce printed retail-quality branded units. Talk to us early in the contract process to coordinate timelines.
Weather — what if the festival hits a heavy rain or storm window?
Headphones are IPX4-rated which handles light drizzle and damp conditions comfortably. Heavy rain we'd recommend punters store them under cover during the worst windows — mostly because the wearer's clothes will be soaked, not because the kit will fail. Transmitter cases are weatherproof for outdoor storage between sessions. We've supplied countless British festivals so the kit is well-broken-in for the realities.
Crowd of 1000+ — what is the upper limit?
There is no signal-strength upper limit — one transmitter can broadcast to unlimited receivers within its range. The practical limit is logistics: how many headphones can you physically distribute and recover, and how many spares can the courier deliver in time. We've supplied festival sets to 2000+ punters in a single zone. Tell us the crowd size on the quote form and we'll scale the headphone count accordingly.
Insurance for outdoor events with general public access?
Our public liability insurance covers £10m for the kit and its operation. The festival's own event insurance covers the punters separately as usual. We supply our liability paperwork to your insurance broker, your council license officer, and your production company on request. Standard documentation we have ready off-the-shelf.
