In almost every case, yes — and increasingly venues are recommending it themselves. There's no amplified sound to manage, so sound limiters, license restrictions, and noise abatement notices don't apply. We supply PAT-test certificates, £10m public liability insurance documents, and a one-page venue letter if your venue needs it before signing off. In ten years we've never been refused.

Spotify playlist on a laptop or phone works perfectly — about 60% of our weddings do exactly that. The transmitters take a standard 3.5mm audio jack or RCA input. Three playlists running on three devices = three channels live. Hire a DJ if you want continuity and curation, but it's not required.

Two options. (1) Run the first dance through the headphones — guests join the dancefloor and hear the music the same way the couple does. Looks incredible on photo. (2) Use the venue's existing PA system for speeches and the first dance, then switch over to silent disco for the rest of the night. Both work; option 2 is more traditional, option 1 photographs better.

Each headphone has a colour-coded LED ring that matches the channel they're on — violet for channel 01, pink for channel 02, yellow for channel 03. So you can see at a glance which room your friends are dancing in. Most guests cycle between all three channels throughout the night.

Yes. The transmitters need a power source (mains or a small portable battery) but the headphones have 10-hour batteries themselves, range up to 300m line-of-sight, and aren't weather-bothered for light drizzle. We've supplied beach weddings, marquee weddings, ceremonies in fields. Send the venue details on the quote form so we can confirm the layout works.

Every booking ships with 5-10% spare units (built into the count, no extra charge) and the headphones swap mid-event in seconds — just plug a fresh one in. We test and charge every headphone before dispatch, so flat batteries on the night are extremely rare. There's a 24/7 support number in the case if anything else goes sideways.

Hire is one full day by default — meaning the kit is yours from delivery to collection (typically 24-48 hours). Within that, you run the silent disco as long as your venue allows your guests to stay. Most weddings run silent disco from around 9-10pm through to whenever guests stop dancing. We've supplied weddings that ran until 4am.

We hear this every week, and the answer is consistently: yes, more than the bride and groom expect. The chill channel (03 SLICK) keeps older guests in the room rather than going to bed early. The novelty alone is usually enough — people who haven't danced in a decade end up on the floor because the social barrier of dancing to a song no-one else can hear is somehow lower.
